Erik Qualman from Socialnomics has just released Social Media Revolution 2, a refresh based on his original video from 2009 that had about 2 million views on YouTube and was a must watch video with some amazing statistics. For 2010, he has updated the video with the latest stats, figures and information on everything social, along with upgrading some of the graphics and a few animation elements. Unfortunately, it still has the same soundtrack! Enjoy the video.

AKQA & GAP have launched their first iPad app, an integrated mobile shopping platform balanced with some great branded content. The app includes video interviews, social feeds from facebook and twitter amongst all sorts of goodness, but the biggest thing here is that everything is ready for purchase or sharing directly from the iPad app, no matter what piece of content you are looking at.

Facebook’s official company statistics outline the breakdown of the sites over 400 million active users. While the site points out about 70% of Facebook users are outside the United States, it doesn’t dive deeper into the U.S. numbers.
